Additionally it is the love Harry has for his friends and Sirius 
that protects him. When Voldemort possessed Harry the second he 
thought of being with Sirius Voldemort had to leave. He just can't 
take the love! As we know being with Sirius is one of Harry's 
happiest memories and he has a great love for him despite his all 
too human weaknesses. I think Sirius showed Harry that no one is 
perfect, including his father. Maybe Harry is having to learn 
tolerance of others.
