Being intimidated by a teacher and being DEATHLY AFRAID of a teacher are two
totally different things. I still have to wonder if Snape did something to
Neville's family back when he was a DE.

I feel sure that there were newspaper clippings of Bellatrix's capture that
would have showed him what she looked like. I know Harry saw her in the
Pensieve, but didn't she appear in the Daily Prophet at another time after
that? And you're right, Gran isn't mean to Neville, she's just
intimidating - JUST LIKE SNAPE. So if it's only intimidation, then why did
he see Snape and not his Gran? Thank you for furthering my point
inadvertantly ;)

I'm not talking about an alarm system. I'm talking about underage magic
notification. RIGHT AFTER Harry used his Patronus on the dementors at Pivet
Drive, he received, what 3 different owls regarding his suspension and
rule-breaking? So obviously, the MOM were alerted to the infringement AS it
happened. So why were they not notified of all the magic he (and his
underage friends) was doing at the MOM?

Again, i'm not talking about a security system. Read what i wrote to Dorothy
above. But i do wonder why the Order did not realize what was going on
sooner also - they obviously had people (two that we know of) guarding the
Dept of Mysteries...so where were they that night? Why was nobody on guard
duty?

But Sirius was able to use Floo to make his head travel to Hogwarts on
several occasions. So obviously Floo is a way of getting into
Hogwarts...hmm, that does seem like a security problem, doesn't it?
