Remember that it is a two-edged sword. Not only can Voldemort get to 
Harry, but Harry can get to him. If Harry can learn to harness the 
dreams, would that not make an excellent weapon against LV.

Additionally, what would be the point of destroying the prophesy? LV 
would just try to use the dream against Harry in another direction. 
Is it not best to know what an enemy is after than to try and guess.

Finally, did not LV fall into the Order's hands by exposing his 
reanimation to the entire magic community by attempting to get the 
prophesy? Isn't that pure Dumbledore to use a situation that presents 
itself to his advantage? He has the ultimate faith in Harry, because 
of the prophesy, so therefore he feels totally safe in gambling on 
Harry.

Looking to the future, if Harry can harness his dreams, how can he 
use them to find and destroy LV? To my thinking, that is the real 
question.
