Has anyone considered what JKR (long may she write!) might do for
humor now that the Weasley twins seem to have taken their act to
Diagon Alley for commercial purposes? I have a feeling that the next
books will be a lot darker than OoP and that was dark enough. I
can't see Ron as a comic character and Hermione has yet to exgibit
anything save a know-it-all attitude. Neville is a walking tragedy
through no fault of his own and the Dursleys can't carry more than a
few pages as comedic characters. It ain't gonna come from the
Slytherins and I wouldn't be counting too much on Hagrid.
Fred and George have kept me in stitches through the first five
books but unless JKR brings them back for a graduate course
(unlikely given their departure in OoP) I just don't see much in the
way of humor down the road.
