I think you're quoting the wrong person. :) Bethcurrie started this 
thread and I think you mean to quote her. 

But, to respond, until OoP, we don't know that Ron gets a lot of 
exercise. I think he just has one of those nuclear reactor 
metabolisms. Harry, we know, gets a lot of exercise.

Now, for the girls. We don't see Hermione, Ginny, Lavender, the Patil 
twins, Cho or even dog-faced Pansy eating a heck of a lot. Cho and 
Ginny are athletes, but the others aren't. Hermione's stress level 
due to her studying must curb her appetite at times.

Besides, I'm not sure JKR, at this point, would point out that one of 
the kids was chunking up any more than she'd point out upper lip 
hair, certain times of the month or those instances when Harry or 
Ron -- thinking about Cho or Fleur -- REALLY can't go work the 
Potions problem on the board, if you get my drift.
