I, too, saw movies before reading books, and I feel the same way
about
Snape: the most enigmatic there is. :) Also, I very, VERY easily fall
for
characters appearing-to-be-mean, but who do something good in the end
- I
admit that I hold on very tightly to my first good impression of
Snape even
though I was merely annoyed at him in PoA - and with OoP, I think
it's settled:
he IS with Dumbledore, and his meanness IS, to some extent,
excusable,
judging by what Harry sees in the Pensieve. Without getting too
carried away
here... Harry can feel as unforgiving as he does and I still don't
relent, I am
fully certain that these Occlumency lessons have, on some for both of
them
unconscious level, brought Harry and Snape closer together and that
it will
show in later books. My thoughts on Snape.... sorry I lost track of
the
subject a
little. :)
