Dobby's behavior explained?/Harry blood relative to Malfoy family

long time lurker - first post

I was reading OOP to my daughter tonight when a particular passage 
caught my eye.  I had missed it during my initial read and thought it 
interesting enouph to bring to the group.  What the significance is 
I'm not sure - but may add a piece to the discussion of the Potter 
universe.

1.  I have thought for some time what motivated Dobby to warn Harry 
in COS.  JKR has told us all about how proud and loyal house elves 
are to their masters. Dobby disregards his loyalties and even 
punishes himself yet still confides in Harry - even before he is set 
free.  Who has sent him with this information? Who allowed him to go 
to Privet Drive and Hogwarts to warn Harry? 

2.  WE have learned so little about Harrys' family particularly James 
lineage.  We are five books into the story and he have learned the 
lineage of several of the charactors yet know little about the Evans 
and the Potters -- Harry has run into several well respected and 
influential wizards/withches - none has said "your 
grandfather/grandmother/aunt/uncle/cousin etc...was a good bloke, 
jerk, fine watchmaker, nothing at all: even though Harrys story is 
known to everyone in the wizaring world.

(US version pg504) In a conversation with Sirius at Grimmauld during 
the Christmas holidays Harry is discussing the fact that Kreacher has 
not been seen for a couple days.  Harry asks Sirius if Kreacher could 
have left - Sirius responds that house elves "cannot leave unless 
they are given clothes, they are tied to their family's house" We 
lerned earlier that Kreacher was fond of Belletrix Lastrange and she 
was Sirius's cousin...

Later in the Book, (US, pg 830) DD explains to Harry that Kreacher 
interpreted Sirius's order to get out out literally and left to 
another Black family member - Narcissa Malfoy (Bellatrix sister) 
(US,pg 831) Kreacher was not able to to divulge information pertaing 
to the OOP because he could not disobey a direct order by his master, 
Sirius.  Yet is able to give infomation to Narcissa that is usefull.  
This sounded like a familair pattern by an enslaved house elf named 
Dobby but in reverse.  

Lucius(DE,dark lord supporter)master of Elf Dobby-disgunteled gives 
info to Harry (DD supporter)

Serius (OOP, DD supporter) master of Elf Kreacher-disgunteled gives 
info to Narcissa (direcly/indirectly thru Lucious or Bellatrix) Dark 
lord supporter.

Perhaps Dobby was being threatened by Lucious one day and was told 
to "get out".  Dobby runs to another person tied to the family house 
that he admires ...Harry... and divulges the information about the 
plans to open the COS.  

This would explain how Dobby was able to do what he did...and it 
gives Harry a blood relationship to the Malfoy family...How this 
pertains to the story line,I am not sure.  But is certainly can open 
several different paths of disscussion. 

This theory just evolved in my brain -- its my first post -- hastily 
written -- reply with any comments....
