> So what do we think of the dating sub-storylines in this book?

Cressida replies: The characters are still very young; they will turn
sixteen in the next book. I suspect that JK Rowling will continue to
use the pairing aspects as a little light relief for a while in book
six. It seems like there is a war on the horizon and she will need to
lighten the plot lines with something. Poor Harry's disastrous date
will certainly have raised a few nostalgic smiles! Ginny was created
and is being groomed for a significant part I believe, and as the
books are Harry's tale then this must be opposite him in some way.
How far JKR will delve into actual romance I am not sure but
certainly there will be some between the characters but I reckon book
seven will have more than book 6. If Harry has to be paired and I was
forced to choose then I would say that the link with Ginny will
probably provide Harry with love eventually but I am far too old for
shipping!
