I agree that Mundungus seems an unlikely candidate in this case.  
Whoever told Voldemort about the prophesy did the Order a *really 
big* disservice (to put it mildly).  I can't see that person being 
part of the Order as well (wasn't Mundungus in Moody's photo?

I think that the bartender at the Hog's Head is much more likely to 
have been the spy.  There is a throw-away line about him seeming or 
looking familiar to Harry when the trio go there for the first DA 
meeting. Perhaps he is a Death Eater and Harry recognizes him from 
the graveyard scene. >>

Now me:

I do not think that Mundungus would be the spy. However, didn't 
Dumbledore or someone state that Mundungus had to dress in disguise 
while he was watching Harry & co in the Hog's Head because he had 
some trouble there a while ago and was kicked out? Didn't Dumbledore 
say that whoever the spy was, he/she was removed from the building? 
Just a thought.
