Droobles gum wrapper theory

As in many of the other posts, I too think that something is going on 
with the Droobles gum wrappers that Neville's mother keeps giving him.

My first thought was that maybe the wrappers were something that she 
transfigured and that Mrs. Longbottom (not knowing that her son was 
not an 'ace' at magic)was hoping Neville would figure it out.  

I convinced myself that I was probably reaching too far on that
theory but then it came to me . . . maybe the wrappers are like Tom 
Riddle's diary.  All Neville has to do is begin writing his questions 
on the wrappers and the answers will be provided to him.

It seems to be pretty well the consensus on this site that the 
Longbottoms are more prisoners than patients at St. Mungos and if so, 
it is only logical that they are trying to get their message out 
however they can to someone they trust.  

Any comments on this?
