To be a true "Pure Blood" in the eyes of those who think like 
Slytherin, would mean to have both parents come from wizarding 
family lines, with a long history of pure blooded ancestors.

Lily is a mudblood, and thus 0% pure blooded (no magical parents)
James comes from a wizard family, and is thus pureblood.

Harry is half and half, so thus a halfblood.

(basically, this traind of thought equates a 'mudblood' as being 
like a muggle, in terms of blood 'purity')


Thats what I understood the pureblood focused way of thinking to 
be....
