But... it is possible to go back in time and be killed by yourself - 
it is probably more likely too, as you know you have travelled in 
time but your past self doesn't expect to see another you and could 
be liable to rash actions.

What I am saying is that there is no paradox with the past you 
killing the future you.

I hope this diagram doesn't wrap, it will make less sence than it 
does now :-)

If "past you" kills "future you" during the overlap everything works, 
excep that a dead future you continues instead of a live one :-)
