Wow, I never thought of this.  If Dumbledore trusts Snape, he might 
have told Snape the prophecy... but I can't figure out why Snape 
would be particularly nasty to the two of them.

A totally loony idea: maybe Neville's parents AREN'T crazy, but are 
acting it for Neville's protection.  Voldemort tried to kill them 3 
times, so he'd probably try again.  His parents (like Dumbledore) 
know Voldemort will eventually come back, so they keep up the 
charade.  Neville is the only one who knows they aren't really crazy, 
and the wrappers actually have small messages to him written on them.

There are no other memories - when Dumbledore is pulling out his 
thoughts to show Trelawney's prophecy to Harry, he pulls out more 
than one strand.  So - one strand does not equate to one memory.

I think Harry & Luna are gonna become close friends, and maybe even 
start dating.  It would be absolutely like Rowling to do something 
like this: Harry dates the pretty, popular girl who turns out to be 
emotionally-unbalanced.  Then he dates the weird, unpopular girl and 
finds out she's really great.
