Yes, you did.

You're forgetting the British Actors Only rule JKR put in place.  I 
automatically pictured Colin Salmon (yes, I had to look up his name 
on IMDB), who plays M's Chief of Staff in the James Bond films.

One of the things I really liked about OOP was having all these new 
characters introduced, and old characters given space for 
development.  One criticism I read in a review of the book was that 
it could have easily been half the length without losing any of the 
plot or character development for the major characters.  I agree.  
But I liked getting lost in all the little details.  Also, it was 
good to have some new adult characters.  I'm guessing this was at 
least partly a nod to the adult readership from JKR.  Thanks!  (On 
the other hand...I'm sure the Fan fiction sites will soon be full of 
Trewlaney SLASH Firenze and Shacklebolt SLASH Remus stories within a 
few months).
