Aberforth was mentioned by Dumbledore, in GoF, as having had an
article written about him in the Prophet, saying he'd been practicing
inappropriate charms on a goat(Rita Skeeter's Scoop). I wonder if the
writer of that article might have been Rita Skeeter? Further, unless
we assume Aberforth has missed out in the genetic hand dealt to them
by their parents, can we say that Aberforth has covered up his
Dumbledore-like qualities for some reason?

I'm presuming the feathers which went into Voldy's and Harry's wand
would be the long tail feathers Harry et al cling to to escape the
Chamber, as in OotP, Fawkes appears to be shedding so much he may go
bald! He leaves a feather as a message several times.
I wondered if, in amongst his work with Nicolas Flamel, defeating
Grindelwald, and the discovery of the 12 uses of dragon's blood,
(Chocolate Frog Cards) Dumbledore also found time to liberate Fawkes
from something? Or if the cycle that Harry's in at the moment is a
repeat of Dumbledore's with Grindelwald? So Harry will, on defeat of
Voldemort (and Dumbledore's death), inherit Fawkes' loyalty?
Also, Hagrid, too, predates Voldemort..
