I hold out the hope that Harry & Cho will make peace and get
together. They're basically very similar: highly emotional with no
clue how to handle it; wrestling with deep personal sadness (in both
cases, due directly to Lord V. offing someone they cared deeply
about); they're both kind of clumsy and mixed-up when it comes to
interpreting one another's signals --

Hermione's lectures to Harry about Cho were characteristically wordy
and know-it-all arrogant, but she was basically right, I think. Cho
is still mourning the boy she liked so much, and now she's also
wrestling with the tension between her desire to honor his memory
(and her own feelings about him), and her attraction for Harry (or
her new boyfriend). That's a hell of a lot for a 15-year-old to
handle -- no wonder she seems a bit loosely wrapped sometimes!

I was honestly expecting Hermione to go to her and try to explain
Harry's behavior to her (since she knows Harry so well), just as she
explained hers to Harry. 'T'would have been a good, righteous,
friendly thing to do [I'd have done it, had the genders been
reversed]. Unless, of course, there IS after all a Hermione/Harry
pairing in our future...
