I don't see how your reference to flying from point A to point B has 
anything to do with anything in this case. The original poster was 
musing how funny it would be if Hermione was a poor flyer. My 
response was to point out that Hermione seems to be a fine flyer. In 
the key room the trio were chasing down keys which were trying not to 
be caught. It finally took the combined efforts of all three of them, 
two of whom are acknowledged to be good competitive flyers, to catch 
the key. This is my evidence that Hermione's flying skills are 
probably good enough for the Quidditch team, but her interests simply 
lie elsewhere. Knitting hats, for example.
