I hadn't seen it as a Gringott's foreshadowing but I think you are
right. I also think that the statue was political foreshadowing
(lying statue; rights of non humans etc). That has been mentioned
before I think. What I don't think has been mentioned is the fact that
the statue/fountain had a sign on it that said all coins thrown into
the fountain would be given to St Mungos and Harry promised himself
that if he got off on the underage sorcery charge that he would throw
a galleon in the fountain. When he did get off he made a decision to
throw an entire bag of galleons into the fountain. I think this is
foreshadowing soemthing, gift giving is often creates some sort of
magical bond. So by giving a lot of galleons to the fountain Harry
may have created a bond between himseld and St Mungos.
