You certainly have a point here. Someone does need to keep LV in
his place. And DD does seem to have that power. And LV fears him,
probably because DD knew Tom's real thoughts and goal when Tom was
in school. But we don't know why the fear yet, that is just my own
pet theory. I also believe that LV will die in the end. At least I
hope so, I would hate to invest all of this time in a series where the
bad guy wins.
Also- I have this newly formed wonderful image of LV walking
around, thinking a bad thought, then from nowhere- DD appears with a
ball bat and bops LV on the head. LV lays there a while, DD sucks a
lemon drop, then as LV starts to stir- another bop. (Forgive me-it's
been a long day, and I do like that image- and wanted to tell you
what it means to me to have it)
