McG is also extremely blunt. If she tells Harry "you're doing A work
right now," then I absolutely believe that's the kind of work he's
doing. With his extra work put into Transfiguration, he probably got
up to an E, but we have been given no indication that Harry is
particularly skilled at Transfiguration (unlike DADA, or even Charms).

I actually agree with you here. I think he'll get an E, but I would
not be shocked if he got an O. Completely ignoring Snape's capacity
as a teacher, he has done a very good job at making Harry believe he
is horrible at Potions, which he most likely is not. So when Harry
thinks he might have passed the test, I think that means he did E
work or better.

What the heck? He feel asleep during the test! He couldn't form
together a coherent sentence! He answered about 3 of the questions
on the test! HOW do you figure he passed this subject?

According to Grubbly-Plank (who really seems to be a good teacher),
Hagrid has been doing a good job in covering the animals needed for
the OWL test. Plus, Harry seemed confident he did well on the
test... would he have, if he had to do things with creatures he had
never heard of?
