Me:
Just something that I remember from Lord of the Rings and the Silmarillion--Tolkien writes using words that aren't really used today. Ere = Before, Essay = Try (oh dear! French!) and Doom = Fate. So, Orodruin (Mount Doom) is Mount Fate, just in a slightly antiquated vernacular.
