I agree. I always figured Hermione, after the initial mortification, just
rolled her eyes or something like that. (Ack! Deja vu! ... okay, better now)
I think she figured out what Harry and Ron haven't: Snape is a git who is
going to keep harassing them. Hermione just realized it's easier to ignore.
Remember how well she takes the article about Harry's love life (by our favorite
bug)? She's got the "Who gives a damn what other people think? It's about
who you are and how you act." She's smarter than I give her credit for most of
the time. But I still think that Hermione has some knowledge of Snape that we
don't know about.
