Warning! Warning! Hull breach imminent! Someone is penetrating outer
defenses!

DOES NOT LIKE SNAPE!
You BASTARD! How can you reveal this? Nooooooooooo.
> Yes, I know it is difficult for many to accept and I fully expect
to be attacked not only here, but in the pages of the Daily Prophet
and Quibbler as well. But mark my words, one day Darrin will come
right out and say that he does not like Snape and you can all look
back and remember where you were when you read it here first.
OK, yes, I find Snape to be a miserable excuse for a human being. I
find his treatment of students hideous. I also find his alleged
complexity to be little more than different layers of hate.
I find "Snape is sexy stuff" amusing in a head-shaking kind of way,
but admit to being revolted by the Snape-Hermione thing I saw the
other day. Yeeech.
I only really get angry at the notion that "Harry should get down on
his knees and thank Snape" which is a sentence I have seen written
out here. That sent me into righteous anger brought down from the
thunderbolts of Zeus. Other than that, I write angrier than I get.
What I do not wish is his character to be excised from the books, as
has been apparently alleged, anymore than I'd want V-Mort excised
before his time.
And I read Snape's passages eagerly, looking for clues to his
character. I want to know what this git is all about. So, no, I
certainly don't want him gone.
I read that every character as value and Snape and Hermione have
different values.
Well, duh. Of COURSE I don't expect Snape to react the same way as
Hermione. I'd be stunned if he did. Hermione is mature, after all.
I am making a value judgement on the characters and I've always found
Snape lacking.
Hate Snape? Sure, if you want to call it that. I won't deny it.
But... dirty secret... I hope the little bastard finds his way to the
light. What I won't do is give him credit for doing it before he does.
Adam Columbo, who was thinking that the Snape discussions were

light- heartedness. Darrin, keep the posts coming because you have
not been bested yet in any discussion re: Snape that I have

Thanks for this, man. I got a major kick out if it.
