Hi,
I thought I'd give some of these a go.

Valky (me): I have more than just a little suspicion that Petunia's
jealousy has a bit more to do with just how 'pleased' her parents
were when Lily got her letter.
I think Petunia was rather excited herself at that stage also and
was involved as much as she could be in the wizard community for a
while.
Some long interactions between Petunia and Wizards played out I am
sure. I think Petunia has a failed romance in her past and blames it
on magic coming between herself and her love.
/And the voice in the Howler was not Dumbledore, I think, because
Harry didn't recognise it./

What is this referring to, sorry I don't remember it. How many lives
oes Harry have?

He killed her sister who she doesn't seem to care much about- so
what? There must be some other reason. What do you think?

I am a little bit certain that this is simply for the reason Harry
gave himself, for once. She is Lily's sister indeed and lived in
fear of him, with the WW and Lily, at some stage of their young
lives.
> Here is another quote, "her large, pale eyes (so unlike her
sister's)..." this is referring to Petunia's eyes. What does JK
Rowling mean by unlike her sister's? Is she referring to the way
they look or does she mean something else by it.

Petunis are pale and Lilys are vivid. I believe is the main
distinction. I am not sure, but, I would say this is alluding to the
strengths of each sisters spirit. Lily's is bright and intense and
Petunias is faint. I am guessing it simply means that Petunia is no
warrior.
The statement "so different from her sister's" though it can't mean
they are not *actually* related because then the blood-line
protection charm would not work. :-S

name of Evans.

I do wonder the same thing. I have no answers because canon argues
against Mark Evans being a wizard _and_ against other muggle
relatives of Harry's in the area.
Its confusing.

I agree socks are rather important. Dumbledore believes you can
never have enough and so does Dobby.

Absolutely, we still don't know *precisely* what a "Blood Traitor"
is.

you think?

Yes, genetically its a weak line I am expecting some more canon on
heritage in book 6. I think the WW is an accidental phenomenon in
the universe.

and I remembered dreadful things..." -Mrs. Figg. I'm curious to find
out what she remembered.

Yes, myself also.
Another curiousity, I think I may be able to speculate on, is
Dudley.
What if he is the one performing magic 'later in life'.
If he was to discover somehow that he was magic......
I don't suppose with parents such as Petunia and Vernon, he would be
quite so pleased as Harry was, when he found out.
In fact I _would_ go as far as to say he might be horrified by the
memory.
