LOL I suppose I have to agree--I was all set to go straight for (3) 
no questions asked--that's my Snape. If I hadn't just finished 
reading those Occlumency tirades about wallowing in self pity and 
unhappy feelings.
That has tempered things a bit I'm afraid. Sorry JK. But I have to go 
with (2.5) until someone proves otherwise. 
Sure, he has to get these kids to stop feeling sorry for themselves--
stting themselves up as "easy prey", but why can't he have some fun 
doing it?
