Yes! That's 'yes' not as in 'yes' to your questions, but 'yes' I want
to know those answers too.
Having said that, keep in mind that #12 Grimmauld Place is a very old
Wizard house, it has probably been on the Floo Network for centuries.
It's presents there and perhaps not even is use would be suspicious to
the Floo Network Administrator or any of the rest of the Ministy
unless they had deduced in advance that this was something they need
to watch. Again, Grimmauld Place has probably been on the Floo Network
for centuries.
Now we come to the Fidelus/Secret Keeper Charm, #12 Grimmauld Place is
a known place in the wizard world. In it's heyday, there were
probably many parties there attended by very prominent people in the
wizard world. So, pure speculation, I suspect several things happen,
when people think about #12 Grimmauld Place; they suddenly becomes
distracted by other urgent matters. Matter which they quickly forget
as soon as thoughts of Grimmauld Place fade from their mind... Also,
even if they knew about #12 Grimmauld Place and they were standing in
Grimmauld Square staring at the place between #11 and #13, they still
couldn't find #12. Even to a wizard who knew the place was suppose to
be there, they wouldn't be able to find it; at least that's my theory.
And while they were standing looking at the place where they knew #12
Grimmauld Place should be, they would suddenly remember that they had
left the clothes iron on, and would have to run home to check it.
It would seem that the Secret Keeper Charm, is a combination of
selective amnesia and distraction, that prevents anyone from gaining
unauthorised knowledge of or using the information that has been kept
secret. Also, it seems now that revealing the secret doesn't break the
charm, it only expands the base of people who are allowed to know, but
reasonably, it would seem, that those who have been allowed to know
are still incapable of passing the secret along. I would truly love to
see H/R/H/G/G/F try and reveal the secret to someone, just so I can
see how the Charm would work.
Just a thought.
