Actually I dont think your right there. Harry was given a photo album 
at the end of PS/SS and that had a picture of Sirius as the best man, 
but yet Harry went halfway through POA not realising that Sirius was 
James's best friend. Harry doesn't seem to have a good memory when it 
comes to this kind of thing.
