I really don't want Harry to be Head Boy, for exactly the reasons you 
stated.  I'm also not sure why Harry himself would want to be Head 
Boy.  Does he want to follow in the footsteps of his parents?  Does he 
think he should be because of who he is?  I never felt he wanted to 
even be a Prefect and was more upset at the thought of Hermione and 
Ron sharing something without him (no shipping meant, Penny!).  Harry 
has definitely developed a streak of arrogance in OoP (which I find 
quite appealing), but on the whole he doesn't want everyone to focus 
on him all the time.  If he was Head Boy, he'd be Famous Head Boy 
Harry Potter - whew!  That's a lot.

If he is chosen as Head Boy, I'd like to know why, because I think 
that is simply too much for him, considering he is the one who will 
ultimately have to deal with Voldemort, alone.
