I really don't want Harry to be Head Boy, for exactly the reasons you
stated. I'm also not sure why Harry himself would want to be Head
Boy. Does he want to follow in the footsteps of his parents? Does he
think he should be because of who he is? I never felt he wanted to
even be a Prefect and was more upset at the thought of Hermione and
Ron sharing something without him (no shipping meant, Penny!). Harry
has definitely developed a streak of arrogance in OoP (which I find
quite appealing), but on the whole he doesn't want everyone to focus
on him all the time. If he was Head Boy, he'd be Famous Head Boy
Harry Potter - whew! That's a lot.
If he is chosen as Head Boy, I'd like to know why, because I think
that is simply too much for him, considering he is the one who will
ultimately have to deal with Voldemort, alone.
