What an interesting comparison! I was also a Blake fan back in the 70s/80s
(and always suspect that the series was killed off because a story about a
group of terrorists fighting an authoritarian right wing government led by a
woman didn't really meet with approval in the Maggie Thatcher years...) but
I'd not drawn the comparison between Snape and Avon before.

He was my favourite character also (despite not being a female viewer...) I
think basically because he was the cool one who didn't make a fool of
himself. That also sounds like Snape.

But I suspect that the mods will suggest that any further discussion of B7
will be taken to the Other List...
