Sirius death-more than ever has affirmed the belief that a
relationship with someone can be hazardous to your health. The DEs
and Lord V. tend to strike out at the ones we care about-I do not
think either Tonks or Remus would put the other into jeopardy just to
fill a surrogate role as Harry's parents. Too, does Harry really
need surrogate parents? He has Lupin, Dumbledore and even Mad-Eye
all playing a partial role already. As for mothers-he has his fair
share there, too: Petunia (albeit a horrible one), Mrs. Weasley, and
even Hermione tends to want to tell him what to do and reprimand him.
It would be nice for Lupin to have someone-but I just don't buy this
SHIP.
