OK then, here it goes. I can't imagine that JKR, the woman who got
kids reading something thicker than a comic book (thicker than my
phonebook!), would advocate dropping out of school by having Harry
do so. I realize that stopping school after 'O' levels in Britain
is not the same as not finishing high school in the U.S.(more
equivalent to getting a General Equivalency Diploma perhaps?), but it
still just doesn't send the message that I would expect from her.

I think in Book 6, we will see instruction, not only in DADA class,
but also in transfiguration, charms, etc. that is more focused on
how students may have to defend themselves in the future. This will
help to keep the students engaged. It's exciting though. We knew
that Book 5 would have to deal with the covert battle against Voldie
after seeing Fudge's reaction at the end of GoF, but what direction
will JKR go in Book 6. Perhaps, Remus will return and ultimately be
revealed as James Potter a la Swithching Spell?

My 2 cents--Hedgehog
