It is, after all, called the Chamber of *Secrets.* Plural, not singular.  
There might be something in the snakes, or in the giant head (who would want to 
go up there anyways?)

Yep.  Which is why I was yelling at the book for Harry to have the meetings 
in the chamber.

I don't think it was picked clean.  And I can't help but wonder if Dumbledore 
has some knowledge of the chamber, perhaps in some books left to the 
Headmasters that only Dumbledore bothered to flip though.

I think it was hushed up, after all, no one died, and it was hushed upi in
