Now me-
You present a good counter argument however, you imply that the
teachers at the school knew him when he was a student. This nullifies
your point about him being just a one year teacher because your main
argument for this is that the others do not know him. IMO it is
possible that he left his teaching post for one year and returned
nervous. The only thing he did that might have seemed strange that
ties to canon is become extremely nervous, perfectly understandable
given what Hagrid says happened to him (SS 71). If there is any other
evidence
of strange behavior witnessed by the teaching staff, please let me
know.
