Prophesy?

Okay Ill admit it I havent read the 1st book only watched the movie 
and this question might have been answered in that but in the prophesy
(not sure if spelled correctly) it says the child will be born to 
parents who have thrice defied Voldemort. Now my question is has it 
ever said how Lily and James or Nevilles parents for that matter 
defied Voldemort 3 times?  I know they were in the order but I havent 
much read anything about if they actually combated him 3 times. This 
phrase just catches me every time I read it. Also I noticed it said 
that "one cannot live while the other lives" now I am taking this as 
they can "live" but they can never come to full power while the other 
lives ie:Voldie cannot come to full power while Harry is still alive 
and Harry cannot come into his true powers(as numerous times it has 
been mentioned that they think he will be a great wizard but as of 
yet we have not seen that he have seen only luck and schooling). Any 
thoughts or insights onto these ? Talisha
