The fact that they appear next to the Chocolate frogs that turned out
to be of relevance doesn't make them any more suspicious than
Cauldron Cakes (which are at least as odd as best blowing gum)

Valky(me):
All valid points Jimmy.
Yet I remain naggingly suspicious of the Gum.
I think that Logic alley has made a good point in that the gum is
called "blowing" gum as supporting for those who advocate an anagram
is hidden in it.
The strongest argument for me against anagram theory is the
unfortunate absence of the word "Best" in the US edition.

Another point for consideration is that Droobles best blowing gum is
mentioned a third time in POA.
At HoneyDukes in chapter ten:
"along yet another wall were 'Special Effects' sweets: Droobles Best
Blowing Gum (which filled a room with bluebell-coloured bubbles that
refused to pop for days),"

My thoughts, I dont remember the "closed ward" being filled with
bluebell coloured bubbles on Christmas day. So where did the gum go?

Any thoughts?
