Same here! She really deserved some serious butt kicking. I am re-
reading to my kids and we read the first detention scene last night
and my blood pressure was rising all over again! She was absolutely
HORRIBLE through the whole book with NO redeeming qualitites in my
mind. I truly believe we will see her again and she will pay for what
she has done in some way. It is, in my mind again, very un-JKRish to
just let her slink into the darkness with no restitution. Anyone have
ideas of what will become of her?

Again, I agree. I actually thought the whole Grawp thing was, well,
stupid. It just didn't seem to add much to the story and only showed
me more incompitance on Hagrids' part. I like Hagrid and I appreciate
his friendship to HRH and loyalty, but he certainly doesn't always
use good judgement! Again, I trust JKR and am going on the assumption
that Grawp was brought into the story for some reason.

Umm, with you again. I like Snape's character and I truly do think he
is on the 'good' side. He has tremendous personality flaws and some
severe issues, but my gut tells me that he is going to do something
big for the Order and for Harry. I really don't know what or how, but
I am giddy with excitement to find out. His character is fascinating.
And, I think JKR does a really good job of showing that the good guys
aren't always in white and the bad guys in black. That is so true of
real life and it has already given me oppotunites to discuss such
things with my kids.
