Further to the thread on apparating, but not really part of it, I've
been mulling over the various wizard transport methods and trying to
come up with their equivalents in the RW.

Broomsticks - horses (which might make quidditch = polo?)

Portkey - train - because in G0F somebody speaks about catching the
7.30 portkey and because several people can travel at once.

Floo powder - underground train - I think this because when Harry
first travels by floo - he can see other fireplaces which rather
reminds me of travelling on the underground.

Apparate - driving a car. Also because people learn to apparate at
approximately 17 (which is the legal age in the UK) and it is not
permitted until tests are passed.

The Knightbus - self evident, is there a daybus?

Thestrals - just unique to WW really.

Any other transport I've missed?
