Check the interviews.  JKR did not say Harry had been in it, only 
that he knew of the room, but not its purpose (paraphrased).  Most 
peole feel that was from the scene where Dumbledore joked with 
everyone about needing a bathroom in the middle of the night and 
finding a room full of chamber pots-Harry was one of few who smiled 
at Dd's joke.  Not a joke, so much as foreshadowing for the Room of 
Requirement.
