Having read Stephen Fry's autobiography ("Moab is my Washpot" is the title)
I'd say that he wouldn't sing it at all.

He does mention that there was a particular scene for the comedy show "A Bit
of Fry and Laurie" which required him to sing, specifically in key. He
required hypnotherapy to be able to perform this one song.
