I reply:
Yes, I DID read it, thank you. I think I may have worded my question in an
ambiguous manner, however. What I meant to simply ask is that if Lucius and the
DE knew that Harry was the only one who could could touch the prophecy without
doing mad, then why did they let him even get near it? They knew he was
coming, which is why they were already there, waiting to ambush him. I just was
thinking that to avoid the risk of Harry picking up the prophecy and smashing
it/running away with it, he would have just stepped in and stopped Harry before
Harry got a chance to grab it. I will just assume it was bad timing on the part
of the DEs and let it go at that. They were waiting to attack him, but they
didn't forsee him picking up his sphere, thus risking all the work they have
done. It doesn't seem plausible, but I suppose I will buy it anyway.
