Her clothes were shabby, and her hair tangled, she sat alone on the
beach with her assortment of bright painted shells and coral she had
picked up from along the waters edge.

The Market was buzzing with activity as usual. But she was a not a
part of it. As though the crowd would not have her.

Val adjusted her feeble sign pointing it this way and then that
hoping to catch the light. Or someones eye.
There was a ship that she did some shore work for when it came in.
"Captain Lissbell and her First Mate Bonnie need me sometimes"
she consoled her lonely self, quietly.

But her first love was her shells. The Ship that Liss and Bonnie
sailed displayed proudly it's few, painted in Vals avant garde
flourish. Her favourite was the showpiece beside the captains
quarters.
It was perfectly round and portrayed a family woven delicately in a
circle three faces at the head of a table which was also the end and
a sea of apparitions floating in the space between.
Once it was her masterpiece, but Val was glad to have exchanged it to
a worthy recipient.

One by one she lined up her remaining art. They looked better that
way, she decided, concertedly.
She had just that morning added sharp definition to a portrait that
was painted on a silver dish like shell.
"It may not give it more appeal." she thought "But it definately
looks more like the picture this way."

At the end of the line Val placed her new favourite one. "I think I
shall call this one AS STARS." she said surveying the sparkling
landscape on a rather unique piece of coral that seemed to be like no
other in the bay, Val supposed that this one had floated in from a
distant shore. It was elaborate and beautiful, and she had been very
cautious in decorating its delicate folds and crevices.
Holding it up to the light she could see the words cast in a play of
light and shadow on the sand.

"On the Seventh day, CR travels on a ship with an extravagant
timepiece to the land of the original King."

"During the day he is told by the King that he is his father."

She picked up her old paintbrush and sat down to created a new
sign. "Perhaps" she thought, hopefully "I may sell something today."
Moments later she displayed her bold sign faced directly at the
marketplace.
In elegant lettering it read:
~If ever a second, totally unrelated hypothetical supported an
outlandish and extravagantly contrived one. This* my friends _is_it_.~
