Interesting theory.  Then, since the DADA job is "cursed" does that mean we will see the death of Dumbledore or some other permanent removal of him?  If the HP books have similarities to the LOTR books, the wizard figure would *have* to at least appear to die?   And if Dumbledore dies in book six, would that explain the prominence of Lupin in book seven - he takes over as head of the OOP?  Your theory makes sense, as V. has returned to full power and is amassing an army, Dumbledore as DADA teacher makes sense.

Which would mean Snape either dies or is sacked or ?? in book seven?  JKR says she has some surprises for us re;Snape in book 7 - perhaps that vampire thing after all.  (OR that could be one of her well placed "red herrings.")
