I'm sorry if this has already been done to death, but...

Politics as such are not really part of the Harry Potter books… but,
if we do imagine Dumbledore, McGonagall, Hagrid, Snape, Lupin, Lucius
Malfoy and everybody else casting their votes… on what do you think
it would be? Who are left, who votes right? Who can't pick sides?

 Me -

Since they're in the UK I'm going to pick political parties for them rather
than just left or right.

Dumbledore is an Issues voter - he has no allegiance to any political party
but will vote based on the issues alone, either that or he votes Monster
Raving Loony. :)
Mcgonagall is difficult - my gut tells me she votes Conservative but I
suspect that I'm wrong and she'd vote for someone surprising like the
Scottish Socialists.
Hagrid votes for the Green party.
Snape - hmm he's difficult too. I suspect he's a Conservative by inclination
but is disillusioned with them because all the old wizarding families (ie
malfoy) vote for them. He probably doesn't vote at all any more.
Lupin is a LibDem.
Lucius is definitely an old school Conservative although he probably doesn't
have a high opinion on anything they've done in the last decade or so.
Trelawney votes for the Transcendental Meditation Party.
Sirius thinks politics is totally irrelevent and has never voted in his life
(although to be fair mostly not by choice <g>)
