That's not gay. That's pedophilia. I don't see that from Snape for
a moment.
I admit I don't remeber the scene. I watched the movie once then
tried my very best to block it from my mind.
Still, in my word (the books) that did not happen.

Yes I agree that showing an interest in an eleven year old isn't a sign that
you're gay it's a sign that you need help. But I didn't read that scene that
way at all. I rather liked it because I thought it was suggestive of all
sorrts of devious Slytherin type nefarious plotting. The scene for those who
don't like the movie happens when Snape is making his speech about all the
things he can teach you ending with putting a stopper in death, at which
point movie!Draco raises one eyebrow and look smug, I though that was
perfectly in character for book!Draco. Snape is talking about having the
ultimate power and Draco is lapping it up because he's all about seeking
power. i also wondered if it showed that Lucius has mentioned Snape's role
in the DEs to his son (You can see why Voldemort would be more forgiving
with Snape than with others if he's such an accomplished Potion maker).
Frankly I think one of the reasons we never see a love interest for Snape
(other than the fact that JKR doesn't want us to see him in that light) is
that he's not the sort of person to suffer fools gladly and he would look
for someone he could view as an equal in a relationship and being the
arrogant git that he is there are very few people he would consider to be
equal to him.
