I don't have a list of page numbers for you, but there are several
references to Pansy Parkinson and her gang of Slytherin girls. But
you're right about Malfoy; he seems usually to be just with Crabbe and
Goyle. And if three makes a gang, then HRH certainly qualifies.
I raised this because I have been thinking about the differences
between characters who are a bit more solitary and those that are
almost always in groups. Because we are seeing things from Harry's
POV, we can't really see that many other students alone (though we
rarely see the staff in groups). Luna, however, may be an exception.
But the DEs never appear to be alone, and I found it somewhat
surprising that Voldemort felt it strategically wise to send a good
dozen of them to the MoM, where most of them ended up captured. A bit
too many DEs in one basket.
