Tj: hi Me again, don't have colors? I think they do. Maybe it's just
movie contanimation, but, Red/Gold, Green/silver seem to figure alot
in the book. But, I'll have to look up your reference to Penelope in
CoS.

K -

I think you understood my point but I made it badly so I'll clarify for
anyone else - obviously the houses do have colours identified with them -
what I meant is that the students don't wear anything in their colours to
identify them. they all wear black robes (closed robes thank you very much
Warner Brothers) without school uniforms underneath them - in fact in Snape
s case without very much at all beneath them :)

I can't give a page ref for the Penelope thing but it's when they are
polyjuiced as C&G, they assume she's a slyth and try and ask where their
common room is and she points out that she's a ravenclaw and seems (if i
recall correctly) offended by the notion that she could be a Slyth - but
that's probably because she's being associated with Draco's trolls rather
than specifically because she's anti-Slyth. Unfortunately. Or it would have
been a nice example for other houses hating Slytherin in my earlier argument
:)

Can someone quote me the bit about the colours of the badges - I don't
remember it but I've heard someone mention it before.

As I've said I think they are all Gryffs - I just wonder how Harry found out
about his father's house since it's never mentioned in the books.

K
