I think at this point it's just too durn dangerous! Voldy is out
and about now, and while he's still trying to lay low and gather as
many DE's as possible, I think there's a good chance that he has
people out spying around trying to locate Harry. I mean, Dumbledore
has people looking out for him, why not Voldemore (in the bad sense,
of course).
I'd like to think that, while it would be fun for Harry to get out
once in a while, he'd be just too much of a target, and it wouldn't
be worth it. Although, perhaps it would be safer when in the
presence of wizards like Neville's gran and the Weasleys, so maybe
that's a possibility. Harry does visit The Burrow (which I'm now
going to name my house... I just love that name!), and seems to be
safe there.
