Would like to ask people to think about how long it takes a Bee to fly
over 400 miles (Northern Scotland to London). A long time I think.

I was alway very uncomfortable with the idea of Dumbledore flying a
broom to London because even at 200 mile per hour, that's over a 2
hour trip; probably 2-1/2 hours when you consider he can't fly the
entire distance at 200mph, and that assumes the unlikelihood that a
broom can go 200mph or that a person could stand the windchill and
turbulance for 2-1/2 hours.

However, we now have the very convinient Thestrals which I believe are
capable of magical flight. They fly at an apparent 50 mph but cover
ground at a rate of 500 mph. I suspect this magical flight is a blend
of normal flight and slow motion apparation-like ability.

So not likely a bee and not likely a broom, but the thestral seem to
cover the Hogwart to London distance in a reasonable amount of time.

Just a thought.
