Hans (quoting Blavatsky) originally said:

>>"The Self of matter and the SELF of Spirit can never meer. One of the twain must disappear; there is no place for both."<<

To which Dan Feeney <dark30 at vcn.bc.ca> responded:

Except I believe Rowling has translated this into ontological terms - the world beneath, or before, "choice", meaning spirit, takes precidence over "understanding".

Hans now:

When I asked people to respond to my theory some one said, "Huh?" and added that no one wants to be seen saying that.

Well I'm going to stick my neck out and overcome my reluctance to be seen as a nitwit, in the hope others will do the same. So my response to Dan is, "huh?"

I've looked up ontology in the dictionary but I'm none the wiser. Please, Dan could you explain in plain laymen's terms what you mean?

I have tried in my posts to avoid jargon and technical words so that everyone can understand what I'm saying. I've probably failed miserably, but at least I've tried.

Try for me, please Dan?

Hans previously:

>>(on Meyrink's Dee): >To ordinary people the castle looks like a ruin, but to the reborn John Dee it is a castle with great walls and turrets. Sound familiar? I'll leave it there; people can search internet if they want to know more.<<

Dan's response:

>>Reminds me also of the hand-drawn piano keyboard to play on. Again, Rowling translating this into ontological terms. That music exists, and is underestimated. etc. etc.<<

Hans now:

Again, "huh?"
