What gives you that idea?

My brother's a doctor - a paediatrician, to be precise. He actually makes
about the same per hour as my father, a postman.
If doctors (in the UK, at least) were so well-paid, then there would surely
be many more of them, and my brother wouldn't be on duty for 100 hours a
week.
